What is PA (Polyamide)?

PA (Polyamide) is a group of polymers connected by amide bonds, commonly known as engineering plastics with excellent mechanical and thermal properties. It includes various types such as PA6, PA66, PA46, PA11, and PA12, each with distinct characteristics and applications.

PA is widely known as Nylon, which is actually a trademark originally registered by DuPont company. For PA6, standard molding conditions are:

Pre-drying: 80–90°C × 12–16 hours
Melt temperature: 240–280°C
Mold temperature: 50–95°C

⚠️ Note: Natural-color PA may discolor under high heat. Inadequate drying can cause drooling at the nozzle and disrupt continuous molding.
Vacuum dryers are recommended for optimal performance (JIHP uses a desiccant-type, not vacuum).
Key properties:
Excellent mechanical strength
High wear and heat resistance
Good resistance to organic solvents
