This is a gear with an outer diameter of 36mm and a height of 27mm, made of POM. The shape of this product makes it difficult to stay within dimensional tolerances. However, through careful design, we achieved a full-tooth engagement error of 112μm and a single-pitch engagement error of 26μm.
Additionally, shrinkage in thick sections was a concern, as it could lead to sink marks or deformations. To prevent defects, we hollowed out the thick sections, ensuring a uniform wall thickness throughout the product.
