This is a light-shielding component with an outer diameter of 31mm and a height of 27.2mm, made of POM. This part is used in OA equipment to block light for a sensor that switches between black-and-white and color modes.
During molding, sink marks were a concern due to shrinkage in thick areas. To address this issue, our company proposed hollowing out the thick sections to even out the wall thickness, preventing sink marks and deformation. Additionally, by suggesting rib structures, we further improved deformation resistance.
