This is a component for OA equipment with an outer diameter of φ16mm and a total length of 161mm, made of PBT. During processing, a problem occurred where cavity imbalance (cavity trapping) happened on the fixed side, preventing the part from being ejected properly from the mold.
To address this, we proposed roughening the surface on the movable side, which successfully prevented cavity trapping. Additionally, since this product has a long axial length and is used in a rotating motion, the dimensional tolerances for surrounding components are stringent, making precision manufacturing challenging. However, our company guarantees a total pitch meshing error within 100μm and a single pitch meshing error within 34μm with high processing accuracy.
