This is a molding case study for an office automation (OA) equipment component. As the product requires flatness of 0.3 mm or less while also meeting low-cost requirements, the design was optimized to ensure dimensional accuracy under high-cycle molding conditions. In particular, the balance between rib placement, rib thickness, and the base wall thickness of the flat surface was carefully considered. In addition, a two-point pin gate located at one end was adopted to achieve stable moldability.
