What is PE? | JURARON INDUSTRIES HAI PHONG

PE resin is produced using ethylene, a colorless and transparent gas composed only of carbon and hydrogen atoms.
※: Chemically, polyethylene is a polymer formed by the polymerization of ethylene (CH₂=CH₂), with the molecular formula (CH₂CH₂)ₙ.

Key characteristics include:

Excellent cold resistance (high low-temperature resistance)
Low cost and easy to process
Resistant to water and oil deformation (high water and oil resistance)
Resistant to chemicals (high chemical resistance)
Does not conduct electricity (high electrical insulation properties)
Material itself is non-toxic and harmless

Typical applications of PE resin vary by grade:

Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
Cling film, plastic bags, etc.
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Bottles, grocery bags, etc.
Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
Film products (food packaging, rice bags, etc.)

Standard molding conditions:
Pre-drying: Not required
Melt temperature: 180–220°C (typical range)
LDPE mold temperature: 30–45°C
HDPE mold temperature: 50–70°C
